My first time to take part on this challenge. Using pearls is not easy, to incorporate them in any design of mine.
But, I had this lovely paper bead with geisha drawing on it, I found some cute fuchsia colored pearls... I wanted to take the pink opal slab with them, too! Just happened to have some matching faceted beads ;-) I linked the beads with sterling wire, added some pieces of sterling chain under the pendant, too.
I just love braiding kumihimo and of course made the rest of the necklace with my kumihimo board using very thin silk cords in colors matching exactly with my pearls and beads.

I want to show you two pieces of jewelry I made and posted earlier this week.
First the bangle-type bracelet with flat and wide sterling wire and fresh water pearls. The white pearls are rigidly in thinner sterling wire. No clasp, fits snugly on my wrist.
My favourite technique for pearls would be knotting them with pearl-silk, not!!
But I have knotted some necklaces, this green and bronze one for myself. The pendant with a sterling bail is easy to take off and on. The pearls are 9-10 mm and the pendant's shell pearl 14 mm.
Tummanvihreän ja pronssin sävyinen helminauhani on solmittu jo kauan sitten, itse käytän sitä lähes aina tuon riipuksen kanssa, jossa on paksusta hopealangasta juotettu riipuslenkki ja siinä reilunkokoinen simpukankuorihelmi.
